M.C. Escher Optical Illusion Name Pictures
Assessment:
1. Students will draw their name in block letters using the tutorial. ____/5
2. Students will use a straight edge to draw 4 horizontal lines and 4 vertical lines across
their paper to create areas to color into. _____/5
3. Students will pick 2 colors to use for their optical illusion picture coloring in as
demonstrated in class and on the video tutorial below. ____/5
4. Craftsmanship, students will make their areas separated through use of clean boarder lines and
neatly color filled areas ____/5
5. Students will mount their picture onto black paper for display with a name tag
filled out correctly. ___/5
Remediation:
Students will use a their 3 initials instead of their whole name.

Students will add additional shapes into the background area. ______/5
