Scott DoMmin Picture
Scott Dommin is a photographer that graduated from Vermilion High School in 1975
Scott always liked to take pictures as a kid, but became serious about photography in high school when his friend handed him a camera and asked him to take pictures for the yearbook, because everyone else on the staff had quit! Scott went to college at Ohio State, then joined the Air Force (he was a "Hurricane Hunter"!!!!), then he was an air traffic controller, he then retired and moved back to Vermilion. Scott (said): My favorite things to photograph are sunsets and sunrises here in Vermilion (I like the strong colors). I also enjoy taking pictures at football and basketball games when the Photojournal asks me to. I like walking down to the beach here in town to take pictures - it's fun even if I don't get a good one. My favorite photo changes all the time, but I guess for now I would say this one: http://www.pbase.com/sdommin/image/161080860/original |
Below are a sample of Scott's work. These are the photos used to make the pastel, chalk, or watercolor pictures for the project.
