Pablo Picasso Project
The 3rd grade students learned about abstract artist Pablo Picasso and portrait drawing. Students learned that pictures are not always meant to look realistic. We talked about proportions, placement and shape of features and using warm and cool colors so a color did not touch itself.
Enrichment:
Students who would like to try and make a picture of THEIR picture on the wall in the background of
their picture will receive extra credit.

Students who are having difficulty will be given extended time or will be excused from the the background portion of the project.

Pablo Picasso Project Review
Let’s Review the project you just completed to help understand and review which artist we covered and the process and concepts we used to make our Pablo Picasso project. We will do this as a class in this shared Google Doc’s, each member of the table is to participate.

Using the video about Pablo Picasso each member of the table needs to share 1 fact about Pablo Picasso. Once everyone has typed in one fact that is in a complete sentence you may share another fact. Each member of the table needs share at least 1 fact.
