Pixlr Landscape Picture
The 3rd grade students at VES used the pictures at the bottom of this page to create the example below in Pixlr a FREE photoediting website which can be used on any computer with internet access. Watch the videos and try making it yourself.
Assessment:
1. The student was able to choose a countryside, mountain, trees, hot air ballon, plane, and cloud picture from the bottom section of Mr. Kacur's Pixlr project page as demonstrated in class. _____/5
2. The student will open the mountain picture, select only the mountains, copy them
and place them into the countryside scene to add mountains to the background. ____/10
3. The student will open the fall tree picture, select only the trees, copy them
and place them into the countryside scene on top or overlapping the to add
mountains to create a mid-ground in the picture. ____/5
4. The student will open the balloon picture, select the balloon, copy it
and place it into the landscape scene to add an additional element to
their piece. ____/5
5. The student will open the plane picture, select the balloon, copy it
and place it into the landscape scene to add an additional element to
their piece. ____/5
6. The student will open the cloud picture, select the balloon, copy it
and place it into the landscape scene to add an additional element to
their piece. ____/5

Enrichment:
The student will use the magic wound tool to select the dirt road in the picture
and paint it DARK GREY to create a road. Extra Credit
