Viktor Schreckengost Warm/Cool Color Cityscape
2nd Grade Students will learn about artist Viktor Schreckengost, America's “DaVinci”. Viktor was a painter, sculptor, graphic designer, and ceramicist.

Assessment:
1. Students will use a ruler or straight edge to draw a horizon line and at least 5 buildings in their cityscape. ____/5
2. Students will draw in the details of each building, windows(*), Doors, Signs, and or brick. _____/5
3. Students will draw in a street, grass, cliff, and shoreline with water into their scene. _____/5
4. Students will add color to their picture by using either warm (red,orange, yellow) or cool colors
(green, blue, purple). _____/5
5. Students will mount their picture onto black paper for display with a name tag filled out correctly. ____/5
6. Craftsmanship ____/5

Remediation:
Students will only need to create 3 buildings.
Students will add additional background detail like a plane, blimp, birds, etc.
